Tasty Pork Balls by Cherylin

500 g minced pork

500 g best quality beef mince

1 onion diced as finely as is possible or grated

2 eggs

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce

½ cup grated cheese

3 slices of bread crumbled into breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon BBQ sauce

1 large tin Heinz Big Red tomato Soup

2 tablespoon Olive Oil for frying


1. Mix both varieties of mince together

2. Add finely diced onion

3. Add two eggs lightly beaten

4. Add peanut butter, sweet chilli sauce, grated cheese, BBQ sauce to mixture and stir through

5. Add breadcrumbs and stir through

6. Form small golf ball sized ball shapes from the meat mixture and place them into refrigerator to cool for at least an hour

7.  Grease a large frying pan and fry the pork balls ensuring that they are turned constantly so that they don’t burn


8. When cooked, pour tomato soup over the top, cover with foil and put in oven on medium heat for 30-40 minutes

​Serve with pasta or rice

HINT: Make the balls a day ahead. These pork balls freeze well and can be used for entertaining. Mix sweet chilli sauce  with soy sauce as a dipping sauce
